Evolving from a concept called "Branson, A Veterans' Homecoming, The Branson Veterans Task Force was formed in 1997 and is dedicated to empowering the Branson area communities to create an environment of patriotic pride and dignity to recognize and honor our nation's veterans and their families.

Veterans Village
Veterans Village is visited by thousands of military veterans, active troops, first responders and other patriots during Veterans Week. It includes a mess hall, patriotic vendors and an entertaining dayroom. Veterans Village is a favorite gathering place for group photos and informal get togethers.
Veterans Village - Open daily 9-4 Nov. 5-9 & 9-3 Nov. 10
Vendors: Up to 40 including veterans services and veteran related items
Day Room: A place for veterans to gather, meet up with old friends and make new ones. Many veterans enjoy spending time in this room listening to free music, playing cards or just swapping stories.
Mess Hall : Remember the days of going to the mess hall? The coffee that could peel paint, biscuits that could crack concrete and meat that was usually a mystery? Well this is not that! Lunch is provided daily by local restaurants as a way to show their appreciation for our veterans.

Avenue of Freedom
Honoring Veterans and First Responders
In the aftermath of 9/11 in 2001 the "Avenue of Freedom was established to honor all those whose lives were taken.
Located on Gretna Road, Branson, MO, 82 3'X5' American Flags fly each year from the Spring until November after Veterans Day to honor all our Veterans and First Responders who have willingly offered their lives to maintain our freedom.
Fly a Flag to honor a Veteran or First Responder (Police, Fire, EMT) for a donation of $100 in their name. The recipient’s name and photo (optional) will be placed on our website. When the flags are retired, the sponsored flag will be shipped to the address you provide with a certificate of authenticity.

Please help us REMEMBER, HONOR and TEACH.
You are invited to join us in our efforts to remember our fallen veterans, honor all those serving in our Armed Forces and teach our children about the value of freedom as we strive to cover all veterans' graves at Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery with a live Christmas wreath December 17th, 2022.
