Remembering 911

On Sunday, 9/11/2022, our community came together at the Branson Landing to honor and remember the lives lost on that fateful day in 2001. Hosted by The Brett Family with the Branson Veterans Task Force, the 20th annual event was MC'd by Brydon Brett and included the Branson and Taney County Fire Depts., Branson Police Dept., the Branson Veterans of America 913 Honor Guard, the Hughes Brothers, Mina Brett, and special remarks by Yakov Smirnoff. The ceremony also included the ringing of a bell for each nation that lost citizens that day, narrated by Briahna Brett Perkins concluding with Rifle Volleys and Taps provided by SGM(R) Bob Smither. Following the ceremony everyone present was invited to help fold the large flag that was hung by two ladder trucks. It was an incredible tribute. We will continue to build on this event for next year!
